I was kind of wondering that myself, to be honest - how he managed to beat things, that is. He's literally the only person I know to end up in that situation.

I should interview him for a blogpost... naaaah.

Greetings Unstoppable!

I've been reading a bunch of SW:TOR blogs, by anexxia, Kristalys, Shintar... and now yours. This game really has an intelligent blogbase!

Ok here's my spiel - We are part of a small team that has produced a brand new guide for SW:TOR. You can check us out at www.talosguide.com

Everywhere we look, we can only see our competition in search engine results etc, and we have seen those guides, and what is sad, is that we have produced better content in a lot of areas, but have very little visibility. We just want a break :-(

Talos Guide has what a lot of users have felt is the best beginner's guide on the market, as well as advanced guides including a very extensive build guide, walkthrough etc.

So how do you benefit?
You can get 75% commission just for a clickthrough+purchase by putting one of our banners on your site. That's $35 per sale. You can check us out at www.talosguide.com/affiliates -- there are instructions there. We've got a banner kit you can download at the bottom of the page.

This is more of a plea than a marketing proposition - we just really need someone to give us a start in the marketplace. If you could affiliate with us, and put up a banner we would be eternally grateful. We did not mean to take up your time and space with what could very well be interpreted as "spam". Thank you for reading, and hope you will partner with us!

Regards,
Urjas/Donrava - admins of Talos Guide

P.S. We would be happy to send you a complimentary membership to our site if you are interested. Do contact us at support@talosguide.com.

P.P.S May the Force never stop you!

Can't quite see how your friend managed to end up like this, if you are much under the level for your class storyline you basically won't beat it, unless someone else does all that work for you.

After doing all the bonus series on Taris, Nar Shadda and Tatooine, I was almost too high for Alderaan, so I skipped most of the non-Storyline stuff on Alderaan, Quesh and Belsavis, and all the heroic stuff on Hoth, then did everything I could find on Corellia, and I still hit 50 a fair bit before finishing my storyline.

You would think so, wouldn't you? :) Yet people seem to keep ending up underleveled... I suspect largely by people coming from games like WoW, where you basically HAVE to keep skipping quests to remain in relevant content.

[...] You don’t need to keep clicking. Holding down the fire button will get more shots out. Lift your finger ever once in a while to get your shields up though.
Eh, is it me or is that a bit of a "duh" statement? :) If you do nothing but quest and then skip a lot of quests... you might find that you have to go back and do a couple of them after all. Maybe it's because I don't think of the bonus missions as something completely separate. They are still just more quests.

Point is, you're doing other things besides "just do the solo quests and ignore everything else." You have to do SOMETHING besides the solo quests - in your case space missions. If you do ABSOLUTELY nothing but solo quests, skipping all the bonuses, you won't make it to 50, period.

I have done maybe two flashes, zero pvp, and no bonus series on planets. I do the space missions everytime I play, and have abandoned several regular quests. I am generally two to three levels above a planet before going to it, so unless things really slow down at the end (41 and still have a bit of Hoth left), I'm not seeing running out as being a problem. Most of the bonus series that I have gotten have been grey already.

What a bad situation! The bonus series worth doing are on Balmorra, Taris (super quick on the Imperial side), Alderaan, and Voss. Do all those and you're totally golden.

Oh yeah, I didn't even touch on any of my alts in this article. Of course, they're barely out of picking an advanced class.
