  1. Kriyet says:

I know – but that’s because the mammoths used to act like vehicles, not mounts.

But, I think that was changed with this new patch – I know the flying carpets got changed to mounts, and I’m assuming it applied to mammoths as well. And when you fall on your mount, you do indeed go squish.

Now we just need to find a volunteer to test it . . . .

  2. @Kriyet: That IS from this patch. Before 3.0.8, the mammoth would at least die. Now, they’re completely immune to falling damage.

The above was recorded earlier this morning.

  3. Maebius says:

Wow, I hope they come with some seriously epic saddle-pads.
Suddenly the Tauren male idle animation doesn’t seem so unwarrented. :)

  4. Loronar says:

I wonder if that mammoth reached terminal velocity…

    Other than that, O. M. F. G.

  5. Eglador says:

Well, I tried to find the highest point I could jump off, and the top of Dalaran was the first that came to my mind. If you know some other place I might get myself and my mammoth to reach terminal velocity.

  6. @Eglador: Do you think there’s a way you could jump from the top of the Nexus? I’m not 100% sure it’s higher than Dalaran, though.

  7. Eglador says:

As I said in BA chat if I don’t forget I can do/try, and compare falling times to look which one is higher

  8. Gastone says:

I believe the motorcycle can do this, too. It allows you to do some pretty bad ass jumps and not get wrecked up like Evel Knevil :)

  9. Cait says:

lol wow that’s pretty crazy :) Base-jumping at it’s finest. Looks like fun though, regardless! Maybe I’ll save up to buy a Mammoth afterall.
